It's the perfect place for taking a quiet stroll and breathing in the salty sea air. Faulkner's Island Lighthouse can be seen as well, elevating the already gorgeous views.
You'll be looking out at West River and its confluence with the Sound. The north and west sides of the island are tidal channels flowing through salt marshes, and all sides have rocks perfect for sitting and dipping your toes in the water.
It's the perfect uninterrupted sea view that lures visitors here, but one can't forget what the island's landscape has to offer. A small beach area coupled with a coastal forest makes this a place for exploring, especially in the summer time. There's also a vibrant lawn area for romantic picnics.
All the shells and sea treasures you'll find add color to the shore and are super fun to look at. You'll find pieces of coral, conch, and even oysters. You might also catch a peak of a seagull, or maybe a swan. But you certainly don't have to worry about large crowds!
