Do you remember when you were a kid and built epic snow forts in your backyard? If you were anything like me, you worked hard to pack the snow and make it just so, but when all was said and done, it was maybe a foot tall with barely any room to crawl around. If you, too, enjoyed building forts, get ready to re-live your childhood, as Colorado is now home to the world's largest snow fort, and it is downright epic:
Hiding out atop Keystone Resort's Dercum Mountain is the Keystone Signature Snow Fort!
Billed as the world's largest mountaintop snow fort, Keystone's Signature Snow Fort spans an impressive 10,000 square feet and features tunnels, ice caves, and even slides.
Warning: The Keystone Signature Snow Fort will put your childhood structures to shame.
After you visit the Fort, take some time to explore Dercum Mountain, as it is also home to ample tubing and skiing opportunities, plus tasty dining at the Summit House.
In addition to the main Fort atop Dercum Mountain, Keystone has added a second structure, this one at the Mountain House base area.
Why two snow forts? According to Keystone Resort, this second one is for the "kids to play while the parents pop into the Last Lift Bar for some après"!
Access to the Keystone Signature Snow Fort is included with the cost of admission.
