No matter the time of year, Centennial State temperatures can be downright finicky, and you may be ready to run away and treat yourself to a tropical vacation that isn't so weather-dependent. Does this sound about right? While we could all use a little break, not all of us can afford a sunny getaway; however, there is a somewhat easy (and less expensive) fix to this issue, which is swimming with the sharks — and other ocean life — at the exciting Denver Aquarium. Here's more on how you can swim with sharks in Colorado:
Opened in 2005, the Downtown Aquarium is home to a whopping 500+ species of animal life, including fish, underwater mammals, and even a tiger!
While other aquariums across the country house similar animals and species as the Downtown Aquarium, Denver manages to take it up a notch, thanks to their state-of-the-art 4-D theater, train and carousel rides, mermaids, and...
...the opportunity to "Dive with the Sharks!"
If you have your diving certification, you are invited to join A-1 Scuba and Travel as they swim through the Aquarium's Sunken Shipwreck exhibit, which features several kinds of sharks, plus barracudas, turtles, and sawfish.
The fee to Dive with the Sharks is $185 per person and includes not only your dive and equipment, but all-day admission to the Aquarium, coupons, a t-shirt, and more!
For more information on the Dive, or to learn more about getting certified, please visit A-1 Scuba & Travel's website.
