While Coloradans love being active, there are some days we prefer to reap the rewards without any hard work... Is that too much to ask? Thankfully, there are a handful of places that allow for this, including this easily accessible Colorado waterfall that is hiding in plain sight:
Welcome to Rifle Falls State Park and its jaw-dropping Rifle Falls!
Featuring not one, not two, but THREE 80-foot-tall waterfalls, Rifle Fall State Park is arguably one of the most unique parks in the state, especially with the triple waterfall as its crowned jewel.
While most Colorado waterfalls are reachable via a long and strenuous hike, Rifle Falls is different, as the breathtaking Falls are handicap accessible and located a mere .1 mile from the road.
Trust us: Even in the dead of winter, these gorgeous waterfalls are worth checking out!
In addition to the triple waterfall, the 48-acre Rifle Falls State Park has plenty to offer, including small limestone caves, a swimming hole, various trails, and even drive-in and walk-up campsites.
To learn more about all there is to see and do at Rifle Falls State Park, please visit the Colorado Parks and Wildlife's website.
Admission to Rifle Falls State Park is $9 per vehicle per day.
Rifle Falls State Park is open year-round.
Please note: Summertime is very busy for the park, and the small parking lot can only accommodate so many vehicles at a time.
