Do you remember the peak of Covid when everyone would stand on their porch and howl at the moon as a sign of solidarity as well as a great stress release? Those were the days... fortunately, we are no longer homebound and have an even better opportunity to howl at the moon, this time with actual wolves at the Colorado Wolf and Wildlife Center:
Welcome to the Colorado Wolf and Wildlife Center, a one-of-a-kind animal sanctuary that is on a mission to rescue wolves and educate the public.
Opened in 2003, the Wolf and Wildlife Center began as a one-woman show but quickly grew into a world-renowned organization that is now situated on 35 acres and houses countless animals!
Today, the Colorado Wolf and Wildlife Center is open to the public via tours, which gives visitors a unique opportunity to see and interact with the 4-legged residents.
While tours of the Colorado Wolf and Wildlife Center vary, our favorite is the once-a-month Full Moon Tour, which takes place on a Saturday evening and includes seasonal beverages, a guided hike and tour, and the chance to howl at the moon with the wolves.
The cost of the Howl at the Moon tour starts at $15 for ages 8 to 11 and $35 for participants 12 and up.
Please note: Advanced reservations are required for the Howl at the Moon tour and other Colorado Wolf and Wildlife Center tours.
