You can't deny the magic that the holidays bring each year. With feel-good music, colorful decorations, and gift-giving to loved ones, it's hard to not feel the Christmas spirit. Many families and towns have their own unique holiday traditions, but there are other organizations and places of businesses that like to get in on the fun too. One of those places? The Denver Zoo.
For the last 29 years, the Denver Zoo has turned into Colorado’s wildest winter wonderland with its annual Zoo Lights.
Every year, Zoo Lights has a different theme.
Last year the theme was "Festival of Lanterns," but this year the theme is "Illuminated with Life." No matter what the theme, you can expect massive amounts of glittering lights and plenty of unexpected holiday fun.
With more than two million lights sparkling over 80 acres, it truly turns into another world full of holiday magic.
While at Zoo Lights, you can take a magical holiday train through the zoo to look at all of the lights in wonder and awe.
Step aboard the Denver Zoo Railroad, presented by Union Pacific Railroad. Enjoy carol sing-a-longs as you whiz through the zoo in style.
Zoo Lights runs from November 29th through December 30th but is closed on Christmas.
The cost of admission runs from $15 to $20 depending on age and when you purchase tickets.
Purchase tickets ahead of time online as this light festival is known to sell out pretty quickly.

In addition to the zoo lights, visitors can also watch ice carving artisans, join in on a hula hoop dance party, visit the Holiday Shopping Bazaar, and so much more!
