This whimsical destination in the concrete jungle that is Greater Cleveland dates back to 1949.

After over a decade of dedicated TLC, founder Henry Ross built the tropical paradise he'd always dreamed of.
Today, the park is a combination of cottage gardens and an arboretum.
Exotic and unusual species make this landscape unlike anything you've ever seen. In the garden's 10-acre arboretum area, there are as many as 2,500 species of unusual trees.
During your visit, you'll encounter all sorts of Northeast Ohio bugs...
...and more than a few gorgeous plants that are unlike anything you've ever seen.
This spectacular urban oasis is open to the public April 1 through October 15.
There is a small admission fee of $5 per person, but it is to support and maintain the grounds. Currently, only one full-time employee caters to the garden.
Paradise, it seems, is hidden away at 16711 Pearl Road in Strongsville.
