Holiday Magic is the event of the year for Brookfield Zoo.
This incredible attraction in one of Chicago's west suburbs features more than one million holiday lights that come together to create interesting displays you'll never forget.
The event runs Saturdays and Sundays between December 2 and December 17, 2017, as well as all days between December 26 and December 31, 2017.
Festivities begin at 4 p.m. and last until 9 p.m.
Special attractions around the zoo include a one-foot talking tree, a train display, and the Holly Jolly theatre. There are also ice carvers, a magician, and carolers present.
Activities especially enjoyable for young children include cookie decorating, meeting Santa and Mrs. Claus, and singing to the animals, such as reindeer, big cats, and bears
There are concessions available throughout the night to keep visitors warm and fueled up.
Enjoy pizza, chicken tenders, funnel cake, hot cocoa, and much more.
The one million holiday lights at Brookfield depict Christmas scenes and glowing forms that represent some of the animals you may find in the park.
Normal park hours are still in operation, beginning at 10 a.m. Many exhibits are still open and are available to guests until 8 p.m.
These include the camel yard, reptiles and birds, underwater viewing, tropic world, and the family play zoo.

Admission is free for members, and regular admission price for the zoo is $20 for adults while seniors and children (ages three to 11) are admitted for $14.50. You can save $1 by ordering tickets online ahead of time.
