It's true. In addition to their regular tours and tastings, Jordan Winery offers guests the chance to experience the beauty of their vineyards like never before. This unique hiking excursion is offered from June through October, and it's a must for any wine lover.
The hike begins at the Winery Chateau Bacchus courtyard. Here you'll grab a provided snack before departing on the four-mile trek across the winery's own private hiking trail.
While exploring the trail, visitors can enjoy views of hills, valleys, woods, meadows, and so much more. It's the type of scenery that looks ripped straight out of a storybook and it's an absolute joy to witness for yourself, especially on a bright and beautiful day.
The hike is described as moderate and boasts a humble elevation change of 300-feet in its entirety. The highest point on the trail is the Jordan Vista Point, which boasts sweeping views of not only the vineyards but the multiple wine regions which surround it.
From Jordan Vista, you'll descend into a gorgeous landscape rich with olive orchards, cattle pastures, and even a lake. It seems like the beauty just doesn't stop! Don't forget to bring a camera to document this extraordinary experience.
You'll end your hike with a lovely charcuterie picnic and wine pairing on the winery terrace. If only ALL hikes ended this way! The vineyard hike is available Thursday through Sunday and takes approximately three hours. Learn more about it by visiting Jordan Winery's website here.
