When it comes to everyone's favorite Southern California activity, you can bet that spending time outside is at the top of the list. If fresh air, tranquil scenery, and a stunning hidden lake sound like fun, then you're going to love exploring this outdoor oasis that is packed with all of your favorite things. Here is a closer look at one of our favorite secret gems that we are pretty certain you will love as much as we do.
Debs Lake is located inside Ernest E. Debs Regional Park at 4235 Monterey Rd, Los Angeles, CA 90032.
More than just your average regional park, this heavenly open-space nature reserve and outdoor oasis is a bit of a secret that locals know and love.
Tucked inside a small neighborhood in Los Angeles, this local park is packed with over 300 acres of beautiful scenery to explore.
Within the park you'll find a five-mile trail that loops around the park providing a trek through some picturesque scenery.
Feel free to bring your dogs with you as you explore the trails as long as your pup is on a leash. They'll love playing in the green grass you'll find along the trail.
As much as we love the trails, one of the best parts of this park is the hidden lake that only locals know about.
The lake may be small, but it's just the right size for a relaxing day when you need a waterfront view. We're also quite fond of this cozy little bench that offers up the perfect place to sit and ponder.
And, although there's no swimming in this lake, you may like knowing that fishing is an activity that many enjoy while visiting this secret lake, so make sure to pack your pole the next time you visit.
What do you think of Debs Lake? Looks like a picture-perfect way to spend some time outside in Southern California. If you love exploring SoCal's outdoorsy side, then make sure to check out this one destination in Southern California where you will find three lakes in a single setting.
