We doubt they could take your breath away like ours can. When it comes to mountains, rivers, lakes, and ocean coastline our part of the state is pretty dang awesome. 1. Avenue of the Giants
This scenic highway in Northern California, U.S.A., runs through Humboldt Redwoods State Park. Grab a coffee and your best friend and enjoy a drive like no other.
2. Mt. Shasta
The lavender farms are the accessory that adds the perfect touch to this natural wonder.
3. Lava Beds National Monument
Thousands of years ago, molten lava weaved its way through these underground portals. They eventually cooled and created these amazing lava tubes.

5. Sequoia National Park
Established in 1890, the park is famous for its giant sequoia trees, including the General Sherman tree, one of the largest trees on Earth. The General Sherman tree grows in the Giant Forest, which contains five out of the ten largest trees in the world.
6. Yosemite
Yosemite is internationally recognized for its spectacular granite cliffs, waterfalls, clear streams, giant sequoia groves, and biological diversity. Almost 95% of the park is designated wilderness.
7. Vernal Fall
One of Yosemite's beloved waterfalls is Vernal Fall, located on the Merced River. The 317-foot-tall waterfall is magnificent all year round.
8. Monterey Beach

10. Lake Tahoe
Lake Tahoe is the second deepest lake in the U.S., with a maximum depth of 1,645 feet. Lake Tahoe is fed by 63 tributaries which drain an area about the same size as the lake; half the water entering the lake is rain or snow falling directly on it.
