Welcome to Snowy Peaks Christmas Tree Farm! Located in Foresthill, California, visitors can pick and cut down their own holiday tree at this beautiful farm that's tucked away in the Sierras.
The gorgeous mountain atmosphere of the tree farm is worth the trip alone. Boasting views of the Crystal Mountains and snow-covered pines that seem to go on forever, visiting Snowy Peaks will make you feel like you've fallen into an actual winter wonderland.
This year, the farm officially opened for the season just after Thanksgiving on November 27. They are open every day from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., so feel free to drop by ASAP to pick out your family's seasonal tree!
Snowy Peaks has become well-known for their award-winning silvertip and white fir Christmas trees. Simply walk around the farm and pick out the one that calls to you. They are happy to provide a saw for you to cut it down yourself, or you can bring your own. If you don't feel like sawing it yourself, they'll do it for you.
Not only is Snowy Peaks a great place to pick out a tree, but it's also just a downright fun place to hang out and make some wonderful family memories. The farm is typically home to a variety of charming holiday displays that the kids are bound to love.
It can get pretty chilly up here in the mountains, but the farm always has a fire going and hot cocoa waiting to warm you up. Do be sure to dress appropriately, though! And throw in some hand warmers, for good measure.
