Time and time again, the City of Buffalo has proven to be far more than just an urban area. Our scenic parks scattered throughout the city serve as an excellent escape for locals needed a quick getaway into nature and visitors who appreciate the green side of things. But even with the Queen City’s extensive park system, sometimes we like to travel outside of city limits to enjoy the lovely landscapes of Western New York found in and around the smaller towns sounding us. There’s one particular spot that we absolutely love, as it combines excellent eats with a true getaway - and we’re not the only ones who love it. This beautiful restaurant tucked away in a nearby forest has been delighting generations of Buffalonians who are willing to venture away from the city lights for a delicious adventure.
Located only 30 minutes from Downtown Buffalo, Old Orchard Inn is a delicious dining destination that has a history dating all the way back to the early 1900s.
The inn was originally a hunting lodge that was built by a family from Buffalo in 1901. It sits on a property that encompasses just over 10 acres.
Thirty years later, the old hunting lodge was converted into the Old Orchard Tearoom, and eventually, Old Orchard Inn.
Since its transformation, generations of Western New Yorkers have been making the trip out to this charming slice of East Aurora, both for its lovely landscape and its mouthwatering menu.
Old Orchard Inn has several different dining rooms, as well as a delightful outdoor patio. No matter where you sit, you’ll enjoy a stunning view of the forested property.
Over the years, dishes like their Chicken Pot Pie have drawn in a variety of loyal customers who love the home-cooked, comfort food meals.
The restaurant’s house-made steak dishes have become quite popular, and are one of the many reasons that so many people are willing to make the drive out to Old Orchard Inn.
The charming atmosphere and the view overlooking a large duck pond makes for a romantic date night, and the Old Orchard Inn is a great place for celebrating special occasions.
After your meal, explore the scenic property and immerse yourself in its beauty. You can even stroll right by an original farmhouse that predates the Inn - it was built in 1880!
If this sounds like the ideal dining destination for you, then grab a few friends or family members and head out to the Old Orchard Inn in East Aurora.
