Perhaps the most popular is the annual daffodil festival and tour held every spring. The festivities kick off on March 7 and it will be one of the most colorful events you'll experience all season.
To begin, you'll have a guided tour of P. Allen Smith's personal residence, a 3-story Greek Revival-style home. There you'll learn more about the unique style of the man behind the gardening magic.
From there, the tour extends into the outside gardens where you'll immerse yourself in the breathtaking splendor of roses, Hydrangea, and the well-manicured landscapes.
Beyond the gardens, you'll also tour Daffodil Hill, where over a million blooms create a sea of awe-inspiring beauty.
Have your camera in hand because there will be lots of opportunities to take pics to add to your collection.
At around noon, savor a delicious farm-to-table meal made with the freshest ingredients sourced from the farm. Don't skip over the buttermilk pecan pie with homemade whipped cream...it's as divine as it sounds!
After lunch, head to Poultryville to meet your new barnyard pals. On this last leg of the tour, you'll learn about P. Allen Smith’s poultry conservation efforts. For sure, you'll want to take some pics with the animals to post on your social media.
