Arkansas beauty is second to none and what better way to revel being number one than with a one-of-a-kind experience. The natural state has plenty of gorgeous waterfalls but we have selected one in particular that's something special. Take a tour with us as we walk, er, scroll to Bridal Veil Falls, the waterfall you can walk behind.
We will start our journey on the south side of Herber Springs. The trail is rated as easy but does have some steep steps. Luckily, the trail is less than a mile.
Don't slip! The Bridal Veil Falls was originally named Cornelius Falls. The family owned the land from 1894-1903.
Isn't it magnificent? Just kidding, we're not quite there yet. Timber companies took ownership of the land but the Cornelius family stayed in the acres nearby. There's a second waterfall in the area that's been dubbed the Cornelius Falls.
Although the land was privately owned, this area has been an Arkansan favorite for over 100 years. We know our day trips.
We've arrived! The land wasn't officially available to the public until the 1960s.
The impressiveness of the falls depends on the most recent rain. Some days the falls is just a dainty drizzle...
...and other days it'll be a gushing current.
The falls are a fantastic photo opportunity no matter the water level. Any waterfall can be walked behind if you try hard enough and don't mind getting drenched. But Bridal Veil Falls is made for this one-of-a-kind experience.
Hopefully you didn't get too damp during our scrolling tour. You'll want to plan a couple of day trips here to see the falls in its varying beauty.
