Nestled deep in the Ozark National Forest, the Pig Trail Scenic Byway winds its way through the Boston and Ozark Mountains. During the spring, summer, and fall, the scenic byway is surrounded by gorgeous trees, which form a tunnel over the byway. In the fall, it is a great place to view the changing leaves, and in the spring, you can't beat the wildflowers that grow along the byway.
Next time you're in Arkansas, whether near Fayetteville or the Ozark, we recommend taking the trip down the Pig Trail Scenic Byway. The trees are incredible, and you won't soon forget your first ride through the area.
A 19 mile road, the Pig Trail Scenic Byway is just one of three other scenic byways in Arkansas. The Mount Magazine, Ozark Highlands, and West-Northwest Scenic Byways are nearby, but Pig Trail is our favorite.
Whether you ride motorcycles, bicycles, or just want to take an incredible drive, Pig Trail Scenic Byway provides access to unreal views of the fall foliage.
The Scenic Byway also has plenty of pull-offs. Along this twisting road, there are plenty of places to pull off the main road to go off-roading, see waterfalls, or checkout the Mulberry River.
A great spot for photo opportunities, Pig Trail Scenic Byway is an unbeatable place to work on your action photography as motorcycle riders wind down this road.
If landscapes are more up your alley, the scenic byway also passes by plenty of farms, and framed against the changing leaves, make for an unforgettable view.
Because this is a popular road, you will likely be sharing it with others who are also trying to get out to enjoy the scenery or head down to the University of Arkansas for Razorback football games.
