By now, you have probably searched for waterfalls near me online, right? This will result in an overwhelming list of cascades in Arkansas. But have no worries, we have selected this unique waterfall that you’ll absolutely love. High Bank Twin Falls will reward hikers with a two-for-one waterfall view. What's even better is how easy this hike is! High Bank may not be the only twin falls in the state, but we sure love this hike for its family-friendly trail. Pack up the kids, grab your dog's leash, and let's head out to this lovely little trail in the Ozarks.
The rapids of the Mulberry River aren't the only thing to enjoy while you're in the area.
There's a trail that's a must-visit when you're near Pettigrew (which is about halfway between Cass and Oark).
Although it's not quite a park-and-you're-here waterfall, the trail is an easy riverside adventure.
From the High Bank Canoe Access parking area, you'll need to head right on the road and cross the creek stream on your left. Follow the creek upstream until you've reached the featured falls.
This hike is surprisingly family-friendly for being a bushwhack.
With a GPS-friendly map and good hiking boots, just about anyone can take on this trail! The path only has an 88-ft. elevation change and takes .4-miles to reach the end.
The creek along the way provides a gorgeous setting in the woods.
It's one of the run-offs from the Mulberry River, after all! The creek has lovely cascades leading up to the canyon that holds the twin falls.
The best time to enjoy this two-for-one falls is during a rainy season.
During the summer the creek dries to nearly nothing, which doesn't make for a good waterfall excursion. A rainy fall or spring will make this trip worthwhile!
High Bank Twin Falls is quite the reward for such a low-key hike!
The towering falls are a little over 70-ft. high and empty into a lovely canyon pool. After a decent rain the falls create a stunning showcase of Arkansas' natural beauty. So, the next time you search waterfalls near me, you can remove High Banks from the list.
If you're up for a more strenuous adventure, take time to look into hiking the nearby Indian Creek Trail.
