1. Falling Water Falls (Ben Hur)
There’s a lot to love about Falling Water Falls, including its easy-to-access roadside locale. Of course, you don’t have to admire it from afar. You can clamor down to the fall’s base, where you’ll find a pool that’s perfect for a refreshing dip. For more information, click here.
2. Little Missouri Falls (Langley)
Don’t let the "little" throw you off. Little Missouri Falls is a sizable cascade with several tiers, making it easy to see why it’s a popular place to swim. A nearby picnic area and access to Little Missouri Trail only add to the waterfall’s list of perks. For more information, click here.
3. Kings River Falls (Witter)
Kings River Falls is the highlight of the Kings River Falls Natural Area – and rightfully so! The 10-foot waterfall is stunning. Accessing the cascade requires a short 0.9-mile hike. Relatively flat, it’s an easy trek that’s suitable for hikers of all ages. For more information, click here.
4. Indian Creek Trail (Jasper)
The Indian Creek Trail is a bit challenging, but completely worth it since it leads to some of the state’s most breathtaking scenery, including a series of waterfalls. 5. Bard Springs (Umpire)
Bard Springs Recreation Area is located in the Ouachita National Forest. A great place for some secluded outdoor fun, it’s brimming with beauty, including a waterfall. And though not naturally occurring, it sure is stunning! For more information, click here.
6. Natural Dam Falls (Natural Dam)
It may look man-made, but Natural Dam Falls is the work of Mother Nature. Dubbed "Little Niagara Falls," it’s about 8 feet tall and 187 feet wide. Though a great visit year-round, summer is the best time to visit Natural Dam Falls, and that’s because the water isn’t in full force, providing the perfect opportunity for a peaceful swim. 7. Richland Falls (Sand Gap)
Scenic beauty abounds in the Richland Creek Wilderness Area – and that "scenic beauty" includes Richland Falls. At 100 feet wide, it’s truly stunning. Even better, the swimming hole below the cascade has some of the most pristine water in the state. For more information, click here.
