Head for the hills to see a yellow field full of daffodils! The Wye Mountain Daffodil Festival in Arkansas blooms in early March every year. This family-friendly spring festival is a perfect way to welcome the season. Let's frolic to this festival and see the hundreds of daffodils atop the mountain as people have for over 40 years.
Even when it's not in bloom, Wye Mountain is a relaxing spot.
The mountain is northwest of Little Rock in the tiny town of Bigelow. Any time of the year makes for a relaxing visit, but you really shouldn't miss the Wye Mountain Daffodil Festival.
When the flowers are in bloom folks flock to the mountain quicker than honey bees.
This daffodil fest brings a flower-powered bustle to the mountain. Expect to peruse plenty of craft and food vendors, listen to live music, and be surrounded by a gorgeous field of flowers!
We won't stop you from frolicking through the acres of daffodils during the festival.
Pictures, frolicking, and general merriment are welcomed during the festival. The field is quite irresistible during the full bloom: it's about seven acres and has thousands of daffodils! The daffodils aren't all the same type either, you'll find a variety of small cup, large cup, trumpet, and others around the field.
In addition to the normal festival activities, this flower fest also has a plant swap!
Refrain from picking anything from the fields and instead take home your own bulbs to plant! This is an easy way to spread the beauty of Wye Mountain to the rest of Arkansas.
