Garvan Woodland Gardens is a wonderful attraction that you’ve got to see. I’ve told y’all that before, I know, but it bears repeating. There’s something to be said for that wonderland, something you may not realize about the 210-acre botanical garden. They have over 150,000 tulips on site, and those tulips make for an incredible field that seems to go on forever.
In Arkansas, tulips and other bulb plants can bloom as early as February. Garvan Woodland Gardens generally holds their annual Tulip Extravaganza from March until the end of April.

Why We Love It: It's taken several trips for me to figure out my perfect "weekender bag that's TSA approved," but I've found my perfect carry on with the TOBIQ Colorado 30L. Why I Love It: Fact: Airplanes are notoriously dry, dry, dry. No matter how much water I drink both before and during the flight, I always find myself in a hydration deficit for days. We’ve mentioned before that there are over 2,300 named lakes in Arkansas. Many of these waterways are a source for recreational activities including swimming, boating, fishing, kayaking, scuba diving, and more. However, there is one major Arkansas lake where swimming is prohibited and that is Lake Fort Smith in Mountainburg. Tucked inside Lake Fort Smith State Park, this pretty gem is a source of water for the Fort Smith community, making it one of Arkansas' cleanest lakes. And though there is no swimming here, there are lots of other adventures for you to enjoy. Come check it out!
