There's really nothing quite like Arkansas in the springtime. You really can't get enough of the bluffs overlooking seas of green trees, waterfalls cascading into bright blue pools framed by moss, or fields of flowers blooming into a rainbow of color. Let's tour the state and see where the dazzling colors of spring can be enjoyed.

1. Garvan Woodland Gardens - Hot Springs

It's nearly impossible to not think of the Garvan Gardens when imaging springtime in Arkansas. The Daffodil Days & Tulip Extravaganza at the Gardens is underway until April 8th, 2018. Welcome spring by taking a stroll through the 150,000 Dutch tulips.

The Garvan Woodland Gardens are located at 550 Arkridge Road in Hot Springs National Park.

2. Peach Pickin' Paradise - Lamar

The Bloom Blast at Peach Pickin' Paradise was a perfect start to the spring season. The pink buds will be missed but everyone is looking forward to the peaches ready for pickin' in July.

3. Wildwood Park for the Arts - Little Rock

Unless you already live around Little Rock, you may be missing out on one of the most gorgeous, yet underrated gardens in the state. Wildwood Park has eight unique gardens spread out on its 105 acres. The park is free except for some events and holidays throughout the year.

Come celebrate art and nature in Wildwood Park at 20919 Denny Rd. in Little Rock.

4. Buffalo National River

The Buffalo was the first river to be designated a national river, and it’s an extremely popular place to visit since there's endless opportunities for adventure. Besides the clear water and thriving greenery, the painted Roark Bluff also catches the eye.

5. Wye Mountain - Bigelow

Atop the Wye Mountain resides seven acres of daffodils, jonquils and narcissus. Every year in the beginning of March the Wye Mountain United Methodist Church hosts the Daffodil Festival. The festival may be over but there's still a beautiful field to be enjoyed.

The field of daffodils is located at 23300 Highway 113 S. in Bigelow.

6. Punchbowl Falls - Bass

Fields of flowers are wonderful but nothing beats the serenity of a cool blue pool and framed by green moss. Punchbowl Falls outside of Bass is simply stunning.

7. H.E. Flanagan Prairie Natural Area - Charleston

Groomed and pruned garden attractions are lovely but there's a simple enjoyment to be had with wildflowers. Many of the Natural Areas in the state are bursting in color from the blooming coneflowers and liatris.

8. The Pig Trail - Hwy. 23

There are other ways to enjoy springtime color besides leisurely strolls through the gardens. Speed through the green on North America's top motorcycle route. Nothing beats a scenic drive through Arkansas.

9. Botanical Gardens of the Ozarks - Fayetteville

Enjoy the blooming flowers in all 12 of themed gardens and visit the only butterfly house in Arkansas. Relax and breathe in the refreshing scents of hyacinth, daffodils, Virginia bluebells, and others.

The Botanical Gardens of the Ozarks are located at 4703 N. Crossover Road in Fayetteville.

10. P. Allen Smith's Garden Home - Roland

The estate is looking stately during spring in the Natural State. Take a tour of the Moss Mountain Farm to see the sprawling property, including the fairy tale-inspiring Rose Garden.

11. Blue Spring Heritage Center - Eureka Springs

Sit by the peaceful blue lagoon and drink in the vibrant colors surrounding you. The whole place is full of herbs and history, and holds great spiritual significance for Native American tribes in the region.

Blue Spring Heritage Center is located at 1537 County Road 210 in Eureka Springs.

12. An Arkansas Sunrise

Okay, so maybe a sunrise isn't necessarily a place but the explosion of color shouldn't be overlooked. There's no better way to begin your spring celebrations that with waking up to a gloriously colorful Arkansas sunrise.

This particular sunrise is over Petit Jean State Park.
