It's hard to stay off the waters at DeGray Lake Resort State Park. The particular adventure we're taking today is on their Islets Cove Paddle Trail. Let's take off our hiking boots and paddle this relaxing trail.
DeGray Lake Resort State Park has just about every type of activity you could ever want to take in Arkansas.
The island resort is located at 2027 State Park Entrance Road in Bismarck.
One of our favorite adventures is the Islets Cove Paddle Trail.
The three-mile loop trail starts at the marina and takes paddlers along the north shore of the lake.
Pick up the trail's brochure before you leave the marina, it'll guide you through the different interest points you'll come across.
The trail has eight marked points of interest with historical tidbits.
You'll have a chance to see a beaver lodge, beautiful black willow trees, and a wildlife viewing station.
You may even see some feathered friends while you're touring.
You can enjoy the trail as a solo meditation...
...or in a group of fellow outdoor enthusiasts.
It doesn't matter if you choose a calm, misty morning for your excursion...
...or take it as a way to unwind from your day of adventures, the Islets Cove Paddle Trail is simply gorgeous.
