For another family adventure, take to the woods to discover the unbelievably fun mountain bike park in Arkansas. The Slaughter Pen in Bentonville has a trail just as unique as its name. Let's buckle our helmets and hit this biking playground.
Tucked away in the forests of northern Bentonville resides the Slaughter Pen Bike Park.
It's on the mountainside just north of NW A Street. Here’s a handy dandy map to find it.
The park has over 20 miles of single-track mountain bike trails.
It's separated into three phases and connects to other nearby trails. Each phase has every skill level of trail.
If you're ready to take off the training wheels, Slaughter Pen has plenty of fun and challenging features as well.
After all, this is one of the only Silver-level Ride Centers in the world.
The International Mountain Biking Association awarded the Slaughter Pen Bike Park for its excellent design. According to the IMBA website, this award is only given to "large-scale facilities with something for every rider, from a variety of riding experiences to a variety of ways to have fun off the bike." Only 10 other ride centers have ever been awarded silver-level.
The more difficult paths have log and wall rides, drops, table top jumps, and bermed turns.
The best part about all the jumps and drops is that there are bypasses for anyone wanting an easier ride.
No matter your skill level, everyone can enjoy a trip to the Slaughter Pen.
