Summer is knocking at the door, and we're ready to answer. The Salt River officially opens up for tubing in Arizona in less than two weeks, and it's a warm-weather outdoor attraction that deserves a spot on the top of your travel bucket list. There are even sometimes wild horses in the water when you go Salt River Tubing in Arizona! Come on, let's do a Salt River float! These Salt River tubing photos will have you ready to go.
Nothing spells summertime quite like floating down the Salt River on a sunny afternoon.
Each tube rental includes a shuttle ride and free parking.
Float trips range from 1.5 to 4 hours depending on which exit you take. With a flat fee to get in, you might as well stay in it for the long haul.
Perhaps even more exciting than the float itself is a chance to see the famous Salt River horses up close. They routinely traipse across the water, the sun reflecting off their glistening manes in the most majestic way possible.
The shuttle runs from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Children must be eight years or older + at least four feet tall, and glass containers are prohibited.
This is a must-do every summer for Arizona locals. When you visit, you've got to try it too!
Few things are as wonderfully relaxing as a day on the Salt River. It's not every day you get to explore the Arizona backcountry in such a unique way...
...unless, of course, you simply come back every day tubing is open. We don't judge. You do you.
