6. Stay active this summer by checking out an incredible adventure park hidden in the pines.
Flagstaff Extreme is an adventure park sitting just south of its namesake city and is one of the coolest places to visit in the summer! You’ll have the opportunity to climb, jump, crawl, and fly through the pine trees in a safe environment. There are varying levels of difficulty so even if your knees get wobbly at the thought of standing more than three feet off the ground, you’ll find something you’ll love here.

7. Eat a pizza and some massive cookies at the top of the Santa Catalina Mountains in Tucson.
Mount Lemmon is kind of a well-known hidden treasure. It’s sitting right within view of Tucson and locals know it’s the perfect spot for a quick relief from the summer heat but plenty of other Arizonans don’t know much about it. Perfect for hiking and camping in the summer, you can also grab a bite to eat at the Mt. Lemmon Cookie Cabin.

The world’s largest travertine bridge, Tonto Natural Bridge State Park is one gorgeous area that’s lovely for a summer day. You can hike some short trails, see the bridge, and enjoy a picnic in the shade underneath the trees.

9. Enjoy a delightful dining experience by Oak Creek.
