You start your adventure off in the town of Seward, before being whisked to Kenai Fjords National Park via water taxi or a helicopter!
Bear Glacier is located within Kenai Fjords, but in a small, protected lagoon. This allows you to paddle board in an area with very little wave action.
Besides the incredible nature of paddle boarding next to 50 foot icebergs, the best part of this trip is that you will truly feel like you’re in the middle of the wilderness.
This particular area is protected and only allows a certain number of boats to come into the area. That means it may just be you out on these calm, beautiful blue waters!
The whole tour lasts a little over 5 hours.
You will meet at their shop at 8:00 a.m. to be outfitted with the proper gear before heading off to your transportation. There’s also an afternoon tour that starts at 2:00 p.m.
While they will provide a dry suit and paddle board, make sure you bring warm clothes and thick socks!
The lagoon ice changes quickly, so the experienced guide will take you through the floating ice for the best experience possible. You may even see Alaskan marine wildlife while out cruising around!
This particular tour does ask that you have some experience paddle boarding, mainly the ability to stand up without falling.
This is definitely an Alaskan tour, so be prepared to get a little dirty, a little sweaty, and a little tired. But the incredible experience is absolutely worth it!
Make sure to call to book this or one of their other amazing and incredible adventures!
