Alabama is home to several types of parks. While some of these parks are very well known, others aren't. One of the state's lesser-known parks is Weathington Park. Unless you live near this park, you might not be familiar with it. To learn all about Weathington Park, including why it belongs on your bucket list, take a look below.
Weathington Park is located on Highway 35 in Section, Alabama - just minutes from Scottsboro. It sits atop land that was donated by Scott and Patty Weathington in 2012.
Covering 13 acres, this beautiful park is the perfect spot to walk, to have a picnic, and to really enjoy Alabama's natural scenic beauty.
In addition to its beautiful surroundings, Weathington Park offers a spectacular view of the Tennessee River. This view alone makes the drive well worth it.
Not to mention, the view also makes for an incredible photo opportunity.
Weathington Park's view is spectacular at any time of the day, but nothing can beat it during sunset. It's truly breathtaking!
You can visit Weathington Park at 6230 Tammy Little Dr., Section, AL 35771. Even though it's located off the beaten path, it's so worth the drive!
