Need some new gear or clothes for your next outdoor adventure? Make a day of it at the Scheels location in Billings, one of 31 nationwide. This 220,000-square-foot retail center is so much more than a store; it's an adventure to match the one you’re buying for! You may even forget why you came, with so many unusual features for a store.
A 65-foot Ferris wheel dominates the main lobby and should be your first clue that this isn’t your average sporting goods store.
The entertainment doesn’t stop there. Within the store, you’ll find a 16,000-gallon aquarium and an educational walk about American presidents.
Another prominent fixture in the main lobby is a display of mounted animals. It makes sense, with all the hunting gear available here.
You’ll also find some games for those less interested in shopping, including bowling, a sports simulator, and a shooting gallery.
But maybe you did come here to shop. Like any good outfitter or sporting goods store, Scheels is a one-stop-shop for sports equipment, camping equipment, kayaks, fishing and hunting gear, and so much more.
Scheels also sells outdoor apparel for men, women, and children. All the major outdoor brands -- Patagonia, The North Face, and Under Armour -- are sold here. Have a favorite sports team? Scheels has clothing and accessories to match your fan base.
You might be here a while and work up an appetite. Ginna’s Café, named after the grandmother of Scheels’ CEO, serves soup, sandwiches, coffee, and 24 flavors of homemade fudge.
Scheels also features a service shop, so you can get your favorite equipment repaired. The service shop offers bike repairs, skate sharpening, ski and snowboard waxing, and other services. You can learn more about Scheels and what it offers at their Billings location on the Scheels website.
