We've officially reached the point where even the diehard winter enthusiasts in Montana are ready for spring. And while we can't do anything about the new season's official start date, we can offer you a brief respite if you live in or near Livingston. That's where you'll find Neptune's Brewery, a sea-themed beer-brewing oasis that will quickly cure your cabin fever.
Neptune's Brewery is located at 119 N L St. in Livingston.
Although it's in a landlocked spot, it looks like it belongs on the end of a pier in the Florida Keys.
Neptune's is named after the Roman god of the sea, and the motto here is Drink Like a God.
That means, of course, you should drink only the very best beer.
While you won't be able to dress for a day at the beach, you'll love the seaside theme here.
It's decorated with an eclectic collection of nautical items, complete with a Marlin on the wall.
From the River Nymph Golden Ale to the Knotty Lotty Latte Stout, you'll find a beer for every taste on the menu.
And since Montana law dictates you can only enjoy 48 ounces at once, your best bet is to get a sampler.
It wouldn't be a sea-themed brewery without food from the sea, and Neptune's serves delicious sushi from noon until 8 p.m. daily.
They also serve fish & chips, fried shrimp, and tasty burgers.
And if you enjoy the food here, we have great news: Neptune's is expanding.
Neptune’s Taphouse and Eatery will open on South Main St. in mid-March. The Taphouse will have its own liquor license, meaning it can stay open later than 8 p.m. and serve more than beer.
The next time you need a little taste of summer on a dreary winter day, just head to Neptune's.
They're open daily from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
