There are few places more awe-inspiring than the mountains of Montana. Whether you're in them or peering up at them, the sheer magnitude of what nature can do is truly impressive. The only thing more beautiful might be the lakes that sit beneath them!
And this hidden lake in Montana is a great example of that beauty. Wade Lake can be found within the Beaverhead-Deerlodge National Forest. It's the focal point of the Wade Lake campground which offers some of the best camping in the region.
The spring-fed lake is about 200 acres and offers fishing, boating, and swimming.
There are a number of beaches dotting the shores, making it feel like a tropical getaway in the summer.
The beaches are also a great way to get kids comfortable with swimming.
