Halloween is a big deal in Montana, and we wouldn't want it any other way. From our haunted houses to our creepy corn mazes, All Hallow's Eve is a beloved holiday in the Treasure State. And unfortunately, some celebrations will look a bit different this year or may have to be postponed until next year. But please allow us to make your day with the news that the Field of Screams is opening in a few days. While they'll be practicing some extra health and safety precautions, we can guarantee it will be as terrifying as ever.
The Field of Screams is located in Victor, a tiny town in Ravalli County about 35 miles from Missoula.
The attraction is located right on Highway 93 about 4.5 miles south of Victor.
This haunted maze is now in its 21st year, and it's more popular than ever.
While you might think that real life is scary enough this year, there's something especially fun about traipsing terrified through a corn maze as the things that go bump in the night jump out at you from all angles.
The Field of Screams is set in a three-acre cornfield and will take you down trails surrounded by 10-foot-tall corn.
If you're wondering what could possibly hide under these circumstances, the answer is... more than you might think.
So, how scary is it? Let's just say it's not for the faint of heart.
Also, you might actually faint.
As if trying to escape a confusing haunted corn maze full of things that want to scare you isn't enough, you'll have to outrun scary characters like Chainsaw Man and this walking nightmare.
Even those who don't scare easily have admitted that this experience makes them jump.
Believe it or not, this attraction is fun for the whole family -- meaning if you have children who love a good scare, you're welcome to bring them along.
Of course, it goes without saying that bringing very young children or babies is not recommended. But if you think they can handle it, make this a family fun night.
The Field of Screams will officially open on October 9th and run until Halloween night.
It'll be open Wednesday and Thursday from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. Tickets can be purchased online.
