A family-owned business for three generations, The Sweet Spot Café, in St. Ann and O’Fallon, knows a little something about making donuts. It has, after all, been serving its award-winning donuts since 1979.
Donut lovers consistently rank this Missouri donut shop among the best of the best, and in 2023, it scored the 45th spot, out of 100, on Yelp’s list of the best donut shops in America. That’s a pretty good reason to add a visit to your bucket list.
Just be prepared for that age-old dilemma of deciding what to order. The menu boasts a generous selection – around four dozen – of flavors, so everyone, even those with the most selective of palates, will find just the right donut.
If you’re all about old-school, try one of the classics – glazed, plain, sugar-raised, or vanilla cake. The donut shop also serves chocolate, vanilla, and strawberry Long Johns.
The Sweet Spot Café has the classics covered, but if you’re a bit more adventurous, you’ll find plenty of choices, too. Caramel apple, blueberry pancake, vanilla Oreo cake, and strawberry cream cheese are all scrumptious options.
