1. Berry’s Seafood and Catfish Restaurant (2942 US Hwy 49 N., Florence)
At Berry’s, the all-you-can-eat options are as plentiful as the food. Choose between an impressive seafood buffet, country lunch buffet, and an endless supply of catfish. Go with the catfish, and you’ll have a choice between whole fish or filets, both of which are served with French fries, hushpuppies, and Cole slaw.
2. The Dinner Bell (229 5th Ave., McComb)
One of the state’s most popular restaurants, the Dinner Bell has been in business for nearly a century. An all-you-can-eat experience with a twist, the classic southern fare is served family style via a large lazy Susan.
3. Mack’s on the River (820 River Rd., Hattiesburg)
If you’re looking to get your fill of great seafood, you’ll want to head to Mack’s. The restaurant has a 45’ long buffet filled with catfish, shrimp, and lots more! Even better, Mack’s is located on the Bouie River, which means every meal is served with a great view.
4. Mama Hamil’s (408 Magnolia St., Madison)
Mama Hamil’s buffet, which includes perfectly seasoned fried chicken among other southern classics, has earned the Madison restaurant numerous accolades, including "Best Buffet" and "Best Soul Food."
5. Jerry’s Catfish House (Hwy 49 S., Florence)
Housed in a giant white igloo, Jerry’s may not look like your standard restaurant, and that’s because it’s not. The local favorite serves up all-you-can-eat catfish that has been referred to as "the best in the state."
6. Pap’s Place (125 E Main St., Ackerman)
A former five and dime store, Pap’s is now known for its extensive buffet of southern favorites. Head to Pap’s and load your plate with catfish, hushpuppies, Cole slaw, turnip greens, barbecue, and more.
7. The Checker Board Southern Kitchen (2223 S Frontage Rd., Meridian)
Over the years, this "southern kitchen" has become a local favorite. According to customer reviews, the buffet is always "hot, delicious, plentiful, and definitely southern." A quick tip – get there early because the Checker Board is known to fill up fast.
8. Aunt Jenny’s Catfish Restaurant (1217 Washington Ave., Ocean Springs)
In addition to beautiful views because of its location on the bayou, Aunt Jenny’s offers an amazing fare. The all-you-can-eat options include catfish and shrimp. If you’re unsure which to choose, go with the catfish – it was featured on Good Morning America’s "Best Bite in America Challenge."
9. Catfish Corner (117 Sunset Dr., Grenada)
A local favorite for over 30 years, Catfish Corner’s "perfectly fried, never greasy catfish" is served buffet-style and joined by a ton of other southern specialties – all of which are so good you’ll swear your momma made them.
10. Farmer’s Market (6581 U S Highway 49, Hattiesburg)
The perfect place for anyone with a big appetite, Farmer’s Market features a buffet filled with southern favorites, like fried chicken and catfish. It even includes some hard-to-find items, like frog legs and alligator.
11. Cravin’ Catfish (242 1st Ave., Sherman)
Be sure to bring your appetite when visiting this Sherman fish house, which features a huge buffet filled with perfectly seasoned catfish along with plenty of tasty sides, such as fried green tomatoes, vegetables, Cole slaw, onion rings, French fries, and macaroni and cheese.
12. The Old Country Store (18801 Highway 61, Lorman)
Head to this Lorman eatery and you’ll find an impressive buffet of southern favorites, including some of the best fried chicken you’ve ever tasted. The famous fried chicken has been featured on the Food Network’s Best Thing I Ever Ate and included in Yahoo’s listing of the "Best Fried Chicken."
