1. Louisville
Between the tree-lined streets, historic buildings, one-of-a-kind shops, and variety of restaurants, it doesn’t get much more delightful than the small town of Louisville.
2. Causeyville
Home to a quaint historic district that is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, a visit to this small community, which is also known as Increase, is like taking a trip back in time. One of the most recognized sites in Causeyville is the Causeyville General Store, which was opened in the late 1800s and still operated on a limited basis up until a few years ago.
3. Flora
This small town boasts a serene setting, charming downtown area, and one-of-a-kind views since it’s home to the only Petrified Forest in this region of the country. Surprisingly, the charming town's got something of creepy past. In fact, it's the site of one of the most peculiar events in Mississippi history.
4. Rolling Fork
Located deep in the Mississippi Delta, there’s much more to this rural town than the corn, cotton, and soybean fields that surround it. Rolling Fork is loaded with history that ranges from the Civil War to the Blues.
5. Water Valley
Water Valley is a quintessential small southern town where everybody knows everybody, but it’s also a cultural melting pot thanks to a lively Main Street, an abundance of mouthwatering restaurants, historic homes, and an amazing art scene that is comparable to larger cities.
6. Cotton Plant
Cotton Plant is a peacefully quiet, slow-paced community, with one (welcomed) exception. During the holiday season, it’s the site of "Christmas in Cotton Plant," an unbelievable holiday display that spans acres and includes over 300,000 lights and hundreds of inflatables.
7. Dockery
Located in Sunflower County, Dockery may be small, but it’s a huge part of history. The unincorporated community is home to Dockery Farms, also known as the birthplace of the Blues.
8. Edwards
Edwards was originally established in the 1830s and named Amsterdam. Today, it is home to less than 2,000 residents.
9. Grace
Beautiful views and classic rural scenes abound in this peaceful farming community, which is hidden in Issaquena County.
10. West Point
More than just lush farms and rolling hills, West Point is filled with beautiful parks, historic buildings, antiquated cabins, and a picturesque Main Street.
11. Bay Springs
Tucked away in Jasper County, just over 2,000 residents are lucky enough to call the delightfully picturesque town of Bay Springs home.
12. Waynesboro
A pleasant little town with roughly 6,000 residents, Waynesboro is home to mouthwatering restaurants, a quaint downtown area, and nearby Maynor Creek Water Park.
