If you’re craving some old-fashioned holiday fun, then you’ll love Pine Mountain Tree Farm. Named one of the South’s best Christmas tree farms, it’s a great addition to your seasonal plans. And with hundreds of trees, your clan is sure to find the perfect one. Take a look:
Pine Mountain Tree Farm can be found in the small town of Walnut, which is just west of Corinth.
A great place to search for the perfect tree, it was included in Southern Living’s list, The South’s Best Christmas Tree Farms.
The farm’s location in the foothills of the Appalachians makes it a prime spot for growing beloved Fraser Firs.
White Pines, which are known for their fullness, soft needles, and pleasing aroma, are also grown at the farm – and that’s in addition to three other kinds of trees.
Not only will you find the most popular types of trees at the farm, but you’ll find lots of them – there are hundreds of trees to peruse at Pine Mountain Tree Farm.
Prices for fresh-cut trees vary and begin at $30.
After selecting the perfect tree, you can get to sawing. Don’t worry; saws are provided. Or, you can always have someone at the farm cut it down for you.
In addition to fresh-cut trees, the farm sells pre-cut trees and wreaths.
Each season brings more than a new crop of trees, though. Hand painted ornaments, which change every year, are sold at the farm.
Collecting the commemorative ornaments is yet another holiday tradition you can start with your family.
Searching for a flawless tree isn’t the only option for fun at Pine Mountain Tree Farm. Wreath-making classes are offered sporadically throughout the holiday season.
Be sure to check out the farm’s Facebook page to stay up-to-date on wreath workshops.
Pine Mountain Tree Farm opened for the 2019 season on November 23rd, and is open daily 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. For more information, call (662) 643-3902. You can also visit the Pine Mountain Tree Farm website or Facebook page.
