1. Clear Springs Recreation Area
With trails that range from one to 11 miles, Clear Springs Recreation Area is perfect for serene strolls, strenuous hikes, and everything in between. Hikers of all skill levels will enjoy the Clear Springs Loop Trail, which spans just one mile and circles the beautiful spring-fed lake for which the recreation area is named.

2. Red Bluff
Though not an actual trail, Red Bluff is just too incredible of a hiking spot to not include on this list. Known as Mississippi’s "Little Grand Canyon," the massive formation has been attracting locals for years. And while the view from the top of the canyon is impressive, many choose to hike down to the bottom to fully take in the magnificent site.

3. CCC Camp Trail
Tishomingo State Park’s CCC Camp Trail is a 3-mile loop trail that winds through huge rock formations and crosses pristine springs, streams, and waterfalls before coming to an end at the park's swinging bridge.

4. Clark Creek Nature Area
Clark Creek Nature Area in Woodville has both primitive and improved trails. No matter which you take, you’ll be treated to incredible scenery that includes rare sites, like waterfalls and large boulders. The 700-acre nature area is often referred to as one of Mississippi’s "most beautiful outdoor treasures," making it a must visit for everyone from avid hikers to active families.

5. Tuxachanie Trail
Part of the DeSoto National Forest, this 13-mile trail takes you deep into the wilderness for close up views of wildlife and swampland. As you make your way along the trail, you’ll cross and re-cross the Tuxachanie Creek several times and, depending on the time of year, come across colorful fields of wildflowers.

6. The Nature Trail
Also known as the "Lower Trail," this Natchez hike features a 200’ descent, provides unparalleled views of the Mighty Mississippi, and leads straight to the city’s historic district, Under-The-Hill.

7. Outcroppings Trail
Of the seven trails in Tishomingo State Park, this is one of the most popular. Rated as "easy to moderate," the 2-mile loop trail begins and ends at the park’s swinging bridge, leading you to some of the most breathtaking and unique scenery in Mississippi.
