Nosh Scratch Kitchen, a Minnesota farm-to-table restaurant, got its start in Lake City then moved downriver to Winona, where it has thrived since its reopening. As its name suggests, everything is scratch made from the freshest, and often local, ingredients.
Nosh Scratch kitchen is a popular Minnesota farm-to-table restaurant located in the charming river town of Winona.
Nosh has partnerships with local farmers and suppliers for many of the products that it uses in its dishes.
The dishes, themselves, are then made from scratch.
The restaurant even uses seasonal foraged produce, like watercress and fiddlehead ferns.
When morel mushrooms - perhaps the most popular target for foragers in the Midwest - are in season, Nosh leans hard into their rich, earthy flavors.
The kitchen at Nosh makes its own sauces and condiments.
It even cranks out its own sausage - not that you want to see that being made!
The results are an inspired menu filled with fresh dishes that burst with flavor and intriguing specials like southwest meatloaf.
Or house-smoked beef brisket.
Even the bar gets in on the farm-to table action.
Nosh’s mixologists use fresh ingredients to put together craft cocktails and other fun beverages.
Nosh Scratch Kitchen posts regular specials and menu updates on its Facebook page. Visit Nosh’s website for more information or to contact the restaurant. The restaurant - as well as the lovely Mississippi River town of Winona - makes for an excellent road trip destination if you don’t already live in the area.
