Lake Bemidji State Park is a 2,700-acre expanse of northern Minnesota. As you might have guessed, it's right on the banks of Lake Bemidji. Many choose to camp in one of the tent or RV sites, or stay overnight in a cabin.
We recommend staying overnight so that you can immerse yourself in the beauty all around you. Lake Bemidji is a popular place for boating and fishing. Launch your vessel, cast a line, and enjoy your surroundings!
The lake is not only good for boating and fishing. There is a long, sandy beach that is perfect for swimming. In the summer months, many come here to cool off. The lake is cool but refreshing.
Beyond the lake, there is plenty to explore. There are 11 miles of hiking trails that will help you explore the park's forests and wetlands.
Along the way, you'll have the chance to see many different types of Minnesota wildlife. Warbling frogs and hooting owls are just a couple of the hundreds of species that make homes here.
There's also a 1/4-mile boardwalk trail that cuts through a vast bog in the northern section of the park. This is one of the most unique places in all of Minnesota.
You'll have a chance to see wild orchids, lady slippers, and even carnivorous plants. This unique state park has so much to offer!
