Black Woods Grill and Bar is a regional restaurant in Minnesota with locations in Duluth, Proctor, and Two Harbors. It’s got a big town steakhouse feel with small-town friendliness and pricing. Read on to see why Black Woods has been a favorite among Minnesotans for years and years.
You’ll find Black Woods Grill and Bar restaurants in three convenient locations in the greater Duluth/Arrowhead area.
This is what gives the Black Woods restaurants their classic steakhouse vibes.

You’ll also enjoy consistent quality across all three locations, along with nice little touches, such as a clove of roasted garlic as a garnish for steaks.
Fish lovers will find plenty of fresh catch options, including three preparations of walleye and a cedar planked salmon. Seafood options include shrimp and Black Woods’s signature cioppino, which I think is particularly tasty.
The menu is loaded with plenty of casual dining options, as well, that range from burgers and sandwiches to flatbreads and appetizers.
Not only does Black Woods serve up a variety of pastas, you can also order homey favorites like chicken pot pie, mac and cheese, and Swedish meatballs.
Whatever you order, you can wash it all down with a cocktail from Black Woods’ solid bar program.
There are plenty of beers and wines to choose from, as well.
If you’re ever craving a steakhouse experience while visiting the Arrowhead region, be sure to check out Black Woods Grill and Bar in Duluth, Proctor, or Two Harbors. You’ll get excellent food and satisfying drinks at reasonable price points. I’ve been to all three locations, and if you ask me, the quality is consistent across the board. The Two Harbors location is a little cozier, but if you’re hosting an event or looking for nearby accommodations, the Proctor location happens to be attached to an AmericInn by Wyndham property. Check out Black Woods Grill and Bar on the web to learn more about the restaurant and to see the menus for each location.
