It’s summertime in Michigan and we all know what that means, right? It’s time to do as many things as possible in the great outdoors. Yes, that includes drinking beer.
Do you know who else wants to hang out with you outside, though? Your puppers! Let me introduce you to one of the best dog-friendly breweries in Michigan: Bridge Street Tap Room.
Bridge Street Brewery is a dog-friendly Michigan Brewery that features a laid-back atmosphere and, if the reviews are any indication - an absolutely stellar menu.
Located in Charlevoix, Michigan, this brewery puts the focus on Michigan, featuring Michigan-made beers, ciders, and wines. Additionally, the chefs at this brewery-with-a-view make a point to source as many ingredients from Michigan as possible.
But you're not ready to talk about the food yet, are you? Let me tell you about what you're really here for... the beer!
Featuring 32 taps, Bridge Street Brewery has something to please all beer lovers, from light wheat beers to beat the summer heat to crisp IPAs for all those hop-heads out there.

This dog-friendly brewery in Charlevoix, Michigan has a solid selection of sour beers - another refreshing summer choice. I'm eyeing the POG from Odd Side Ales (located in Michigan, of course!), which features notes of passion fruit, orange juice, and guava.
Another thing folks rave about after visiting Bridge Street Tap Room in Charlevoix, Michigan, is the stellar food. The menu is focused, featuring elevated bar food, like smoked brisket nachos and a mac-and-cheese sandwich.
There are a few upscale offerings as well, including Ramen (pictured above) and a mouthwatering-sounding Blackened Salmon and Shrimp Gnocchi.
The appetizers are pretty incredible-sounding, too. They offer Bavarian Pretzel Sticks with locally-made Mike's Mustard and a Cheezy Bread that I'm curious about.
However, if you've been reading along with me since I started writing, you know it's the Mussels that are on the top of my list. I can almost taste that gorgeous dish pictured above.
One of my favorite things I learned about this dog-friendly brewery in Michigan was their social media. When I was looking through their photos, I found selfie after selfie with (what I assume to be) the owner.
Especially when I realize I can bring some cans of Michigan beer home with me to enjoy!
Don’t make this dog-friendly brewery in Michigan your only stop when you visit the Upper Peninsula. There’s more to Charlevoix than Bridge Street Tap Room, y’all. In fact, there’s so much to do in this small Michigan town that we recommend making a weekend of it. Here’s a historic rental home we love.
Have you taken your dog on a brewery visit in Michigan? Where did you end up? We’d love to hear about it in the comments.
