Take the Weir Hill Reservation Trail, a 2.6-mile loop that will take you through the forest and to the lake. By the end of the hike, you'll have experienced 239 feet in overall elevation gain. The trail is marked by yellow blazes.
Spring and summer are the most popular seasons to hike at Weir Hill Reservation. You'll find plenty of wildlife and birds during the warmer months, but that doesn't mean you can't enjoy it when the air starts to cool.
In the fall, you can enjoy the leaves as they transform from green into colorful hues of yellow, orange, and red. This is one of the best hikes in Massachusetts to take in the fall.

This woodland is a haven for birds, so keep an eye out for a variety of species. You might even spot an old stone wall, a reminder of the area's history. With its varied terrain and abundant wildlife, Fitch Memorial Woodlands provides a rewarding experience for hikers seeking a quiet respite in the woods.
Thinking about hiking the RRR Brooks Trail? It's a solid option if you're on the hunt for a moderate trek with some nice payoffs. This out-and-back trail clocks in at just under five miles, and it takes you through some really pretty forested areas in Taconic Trail State Park in Williamstown.
The trail climbs steadily, but it's not overly steep. You'll get a good workout, and the views from the top are definitely worth it. One AllTrails user even suggested turning it into a loop by connecting to the Sarah Tenney Trail, something to consider if you want to extend your hike. Just be prepared for a few rocky sections and maybe some muddy spots if it's been raining. Overall, the RRR Brooks Trail is an underrated gem with somebeautiful terrain, all without the crowds of more popular trails.
Robinson State Park in Feeding Hills is home to a rich varietyof plants and animals, making it one of the most diverse natural areas in Massachusetts. The Eastside Trail is a great introduction to this unique environment. This 2.5-mile loop trail is an easy hike, suitable for all ages and skill levels.
As you follow the trail, you'll come across a mix of woods and river vistas, with a small waterfall along the way. Be sure to watch for wildlife. You might see deer, fishers, or even a bald eagle!
