Henry Ford once owned this building and opened it as the Wayside Inn Roadside Market in 1930. Ownership of the shop changed hands several times over the years, the building was expanded, and the name was eventually changed to Wayside Country Store.
Today, the interior looks similar to the way it did when Henry Ford had renovated the building.
