Massachusetts is known for its gorgeous beaches and spectacular coastline. When it comes to finding somewhere to spend a few hours by the surf, residents and visitors alike are spoiled for choice. However, there are a few beach spots that truly deserve more attention than they get.
Mayflower Beach is a gorgeous sandy spot that’s secretly one of the best on the Cape.
Located in Dennis off Dunes Road, this beach has pillowy sand that seems to stretch into infinity.
The long sandbars are great for kids and anyone who just wants to get their feet wet, and the shallow tidal pools are perfect for wading and splashing.
The beach is on the bay side of Cape Cod, which means the water and sand is cleaner and warmer than the cooler ocean side of the Cape.
As soon as you step onto the beach, you’ll be treated to the sight of rippling sand that looks like something from a postcard.
You’ll have a hard time keeping most people from diving right in.
Mayflower Beach has three parking lots, so you have a good chance of finding a spot even during peak hours. Parking rates are available for both resident and non-resident vehicles.
At low-tide, you can walk for miles along the glistening tidal flats.
In fact, this sand is some of the softest you’ll ever feel. It feels like your feet are sinking into powder.
You won’t want to miss a single minute of sunshine at this glorious Cape Cod beach with soft-as-silk sand.
You can find Mayflower Beach at 2 Dunes View Rd., Dennis, MA 02638. Have you ever visited this stunning slice of paradise? What is your favorite Massachusetts beach? Share your opinions and experiences in the comments below!
