Around the Bay State, it's easy to find a restaurant that serves delectable food, but many times, these eateries don't come with scenic views. If you're looking to have a meal AND enjoy some gorgeous scenery, look no further than The Barnacle. Located in Marblehead, this restaurant with a view in Massachusetts is a must-visit.
There are some places where you just can't get a better view, and The Barnacle in Marblehead is one such place. Open since the 1940s, first as a clam shack, this is the oldest family-run restaurant in town.
Serving cold drinks and some of the freshest seafood in the area, the views are a major part of this restaurant's allure. Whether you sit outside on the deck or indoors with all the windows, you'll be treated to stunning maritime scenery.
The menu offers a wide variety of seafood dishes for both lunch and dinner. Start off with a cup or bowl of the seafood chowder or lobster bisque. For an appetizer, how about some fried calamari or steamed mussels?
The lobsters served here are caught off The Barnacle's very own boat. You can't get any fresher than that. Enjoy a lobster with a side of steamers for the perfect meal. The lobsters come either stuffed or steamed.
The Barnacle is also well-known for its lobster rolls, which many argue are the best in New England.
Take it all in as you dine and imbibe at The Barnacle. While the food is a feast for the stomach, the views of Marblehead Harbor, Marblehead Neck, and Marblehead Lighthouse, as well as the sunsets, are a feast for the eyes.
You really can't get any closer to the water at this restaurant! The Barnacle truly has some of the most scenic views in the state.
