The hustle and bustle of busy city life can be exhilarating, but sometimes you just need a quiet place to get away to relax and regroup. I often find that a visit to a secluded hiking trail always works wonders for me. There are many hidden parks and trails to discover throughout the state. Several, such as the Bare Pond Loop hike in Newton, are located very close to Boston. This lesser-known trail is a fantastic spot for a quiet refresh.

The Bare Pond Loop is a short but secluded 1.5-mile trail. It is a relatively easy hike that should take you only about 30 minutes to walk.

The trail is close to town and is located within the Webster Conservation Area. This area is Newton’s largest protected open space.
