For the past few years, my daughter and I have taken an overnight girl’s trip to Boston. Each time we go, we try to stay in a different part of the city and explore all of the attractions that this area has to offer. This past year, we stayed in the Copley/Back Bay area. In between stops at the historic Trinity Church and the Boston Public Library’s Tea Room, we discovered a delicious hidden gem that we will certainly be returning to again and again.
Boston Eataly is part upscale Italian marketplace, part specialty eatery, and 100% delicious! Eataly is housed right in Boston’s iconic Prudential Center.
A trip to Eataly is a true culinary experience. You could easily spend a whole afternoon here. My daughter and I took a great deal of time just wandering up and down the aisles and looking at all of the authentic Italian pastas, sauces, cookies, spices, olive oils, and wine.

You can also find so many fresh products at Eataly. Fruits, vegetables, meats, seafood, homemade pasta, cheese, and freshly baked bread are all available for purchase.

The staff at Eataly are expertly trained and educated. They can tell you all about the various specialty products and offer advice on how to use them in dishes. You can even watch the pasta being made!
And if you want to try your hand at making your own homemade pasta, Eataly has that covered too. They offer a variety of cooking classes throughout the year. Learn how to make sauces, Tiramisu (my favorite), pasta, and more. There are even virtual classes, wine tastings, holiday events, and classes for the kids. I can’t wait to try one out!
Now on to the restaurant portion of Eataly. There are actually three places to eat in the Boston store. At Terra, you can enjoy dishes made in a wood-burning grill. Menu choices include seafood, pasta, and seasonal dishes.
And then there is La Pizza & La Pasta which serves delicious Neapolitan pizza and a wide array of fresh pasta dishes with lovely Italian names like “gnocchi al pesto basilico” and “ravioli di zucca.”
Or you can choose to eat at La Piazza, which is a fun place to gather with friends to enjoy a glass of vino and share small plates, raw bar items, pasta, and meats and cheeses.
Eataly also offers catering and private event dining.
What is your favorite thing to buy at Eataly? Have you sampled any of their pizza or other meals? Please tell us all about your visit. For more information on this delicious market, please visit the official Eataly Boston website and Eataly Boston Facebook page. Did you know that you can also visit the top of the Prudential Center? Enjoy beautiful panoramic views of the city from the Prudential Center Skywalk Observatory. The Boston Duck Boat Sightseeing City Tour also departs right from the Prudential Center. It is a fun and unique way to see the city sites.
