Argh, mateys! Are you looking for a swashbuckling adventure on the high seas this summer? If you said "aye," then head to Cape Cod to board the Sea Gypsy and get ready to take to the water in search of some underwater treasure.
Cape Cod Pirate Adventures of Hyannis is waiting to welcome all you landlubbers to join their crew for a treasure hunting adventure. This is the perfect activity for children under age 10 who can let their imaginations run wild!
The Sea Gypsy is a sturdy ship with its Jolly Roger flag proudly displayed. Once you step on board, get ready for an exciting crusade upon the waters of Hyannis Harbor.
Children will be transformed immediately into a member of the crew. They'll be dressed, their faces will be painted, and they'll help with hoisting the flags and setting off water cannons, among other tasks on this busy ship. But most importantly, the captain will need help with reading the map to find the underwater treasure!
While sailing upon the briny deep, you'll be led into singing a round of sea chanteys and hear plenty of tales of pirate lore.
As enemies approach to steal the booty that belongs to those aboard the Sea Gypsy, it's time to set off the water cannons. But don't worry, your crew will prevail and the treasure will be yours!
The captains aboard the vessel are licensed with the U.S. Coast Guard while the ship has life jackets and other safety measures in place to guarantee the voyage is a safe one.
Kids (and adults, too) will absolutely love the experience of being a pirate crew member aboard the Sea Gypsy. The experience totals 90 minutes, including 70-75 minutes of sailing time. Reservations must be made ahead of time.
Are you ready for a swashbuckling adventure aboard a pirate ship? If so, head to the Cape Cod Pirate Adventures website to book your reservation and follow their Facebook page for updates. Sailings run every day from mid-June until Labor Day.
