This adorable breakfast nook is located in a massive blue and red building, so you can't miss it. It can get a bit busy here on the weekends, so show up early if you don't feel like waiting for a table. The food is picture-perfect and tastes just as good. 2. Keltic Kitchen, West Yarmouth
You'll be hard-pressed to find a place that serves a better classic Irish breakfast than Keltic Kitchen. Locals know that this is the spot to visit when you're craving a decadent, rich morning meal that is big on flavor but low on price. Try the seafood hash with poached eggs and toasted Irish brown bread. You can't go wrong with the pancakes either. (415 Route 28, West Yarmouth)
3. Mad Hatter Cafe, Weymouth
The Mad Hatter Cafe is a bustling breakfast spot that will transport your taste buds to Wonderland. it an get a little busy on the weekends (especially Sunday brunch), but the food is worth the wait for a table. Locals are crazy about the corned beef hash and the French toast specials. You should also try the lobster benedict if you like seafood for breakfast. You should definitely add this place to your breakfast rotation. (969 Washington St, Weymouth, MA)
4. Spoon & Seed, Hyannis
This is a homey, cozy breakfast spot tucked away from the bustle of downtown Hyannis. The servers are welcoming and helpful, and the overall vibe will make you feel like you're having breakfast at a friend's house. Try the cheesy grits, classic eggs and hash, the cheese biscuit or toasted focaccia with homemade jam. (12 Thornton Drive, Hyannis)
5. JJ's Cafe, Brockton
JJ's Cafe is a classic diner-style breakfast joint. There's a sign over the door that says "Enter as strangers, leave as friends," and that's exactly the vibe here. There's a full menu of tasty and filling treats, so you might have some trouble selecting. Try the Hangover Benedict (sirloin steak, three poached eggs with spinach and red peppers, and home fries) if you want (or need) something hearty, and don't miss the decadent French toast. 6. The Farmer's Daughter, Easton
The Farmer's Daughter is a local fave, and with good reason. They're equally adept at breakfast and dinner, but if you visit in the morning you're sure to leave full and happy. The atmosphere is cozy but fashionable, and there's outdoor seating for when the weather cooperates. Their offerings are mainly expected breakfast fare, but everything is prepared creatively and presented with flair. Try the bacon Siracha French toast for a spicy twist on a classic. 7. Haven Cafe & Bakery, Lenox
Haven Cafe has an atmosphere that's homey and rather twee. They specialize in comfort food that can be made just how you like. They're able to accommodate different allergies by cooking on a separate stove, and there's also gluten-free bread available (even for the french toast), so everyone can feast with abandon. Expect the food to be rich but delicious. Try the smoked salmon omelet for a thoughtfully upgraded egg dish. (8 Franklin Street, Lenox)
8. The Starving Artist Creperie and Cafe, Lee
The food here is absolutely yummy, and the space is almost as delicious. This breakfast spot is set right inside an art gallery, so you'll be surrounded by constantly changing pieces as you much on their delectable crepes. They're also able to accommodate vegan, dairy-free and gluten-free diets. If you're looking for something that tastes hearty but is full of veggies, try the Twisted BLT with veggie bacon, spinach, tomatoes, vegan mozzarella and vegan horseradish mayo. (40 Main Street, Ste 2, Lee)
9. Six Depot Roastery & Cafe, West Stockbridge
No. 6 Depot is an attractive and rustic breakfast and lunch spot. Fresh, simple and delicious is the standard here. They're also a micro-roastery, which means the coffee is superb. The caprese sandwich is a great option for a lighter morning meal, but there's nothing wrong with loading up on their amazing waffles either. (6 Depot Street, West Stockbridge)
10. Sugar Magnolia's, Gloucester
Sugar Magnolia's is the perfect brunch spot if you're willing to wait a few minutes for a table on the weekend. The restaurant is small and cozy, the service is friendly, and the food is excellent. Don't skip a hearty serving of the cornbread, which is superb. This probably won't be the cheapest brunch you'll ever have, but it's not too pricey either. (112 Main Street, Gloucester)
11. Peg's Diner, Whitinsville
This is an old-fashioned diner through and through. The menu offers all the breakfast standards, prepared to comfort food perfection. There's limited seating, so arrive a few minutes early if you're planning on grabbing a Sunday morning breakfast here. Their Western omelette is pretty spectacular, and you can't beat the prices at Peg's – you can enjoy a breakfast for two for under $15. (87 Church Street, Whitinsville)
