Tucked away at the end of a long, isolated coastal road is one of Massachusetts’ most scenic restaurants. The Beachcomber in Wellfleet is a classic Cape Cod destination, and one that will provide you with a feast for the eyes as well as the belly.
The Wellfleet Beachcomber overlooks the sparkling Atlantic and the lovely Cahoon Hollow Beach.
Of course, the first thing you’ll notice here is the panoramic ocean vista.
Seriously guys, the views are AMAZING.
The best part? When you're done eating, you can head right down to the beach!
This lively restaurant and bar was originally an 1897 lifesaving station.
It was one of only 11 buildings allowed to remain within the 8,000 acres of the Cape Cod National Seashore.
The atmosphere inside is bright and friendly. You'll meet everyone from friendly locals to seasonal "'Comber" devotees.
And of course, the food is to die for.
Think melt-in-your-mouth lobster, crispy fried clams and incredibly fresh shellfish.
The dishes here simple and summery affairs that will definitely leave you full and satisfied.
Plus, stop by for live music and performances on the weekend. They host everything from classic rock bands to electrifying DJs.
You're bound to come back again and again once you've experienced this special spot.
The Beachcomber is open every day from Memorial Day to Labor Day.
The parking situation here is a little unique. It’s technically $20 to park in the lot, but for that price you’ll actually receive a voucher for $20 worth of food and drink at the restaurant. This system helps ensure that parking spaces are basically free for customers of the Beachcomber and not snatched up by people just visiting the beach.
