Every year, the Farmers' Almanac announces its predictions for the upcoming winter season. Here's a look at what you can expect for 2021-22.
According to the Extended Forecast, the Atlantic Seaboard may be especially stormy in January, despite the month starting out mild.
As we approach the middle through end of the month, there could be a stretch of precipitation of all types, including rain, snow, sleet, and ice.
February is predicted to have a flip-flopping forecast with 57% fewer days of precipitation. However, a "winter whopper" is forecasted for parts of the Northeast towards the end of the month.
No matter what happens, you'll want to be prepared. Be sure you have a winter coat, warm hat, snow boots, and a sturdy shovel, just in case.
